Mountainback Chalet Mammoth is nestled in the mountains of Mammoth Lakes between Canyon Lodge and The Village, conveniently located within minutes of the action for easy access to everything Mammoth has to offer. Mammoth is a world-class ski resort and also one of the top ten mountain biking, hiking and fishing locations in the country.

WINTER

  • Mammoth Mountain is home to some of the best snow conditions in North America. 11,053 foot summit over 3,500 acres.

  • Mammoth has 140 miles of cross country tracks that winds throughout Mammoth Lakes and into Inyo National Forest.

  • Over 80 miles of groomed snowmobile tracks available through guided or self-guided tours.

  • Tubing is avaialbe at Woolly’s Tube Park along with the brand new roller coaster!

  • Mammoth has a brand new indoor skating center, LA Kings Ice Cin the heart of town. Skate rentals, lessons and special events.

  • Other great actvities include bowling at Mammoth Rock n Bowl, Yoga around town or try a snowshoe adventure at Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center.

SUMMER

  • Road biking, mountain biking and e-biking are all available in Mammoth Lakes.

  • From easy to advanced, Mammoth has you covered for hikes. Many are found within a mile from our condo.

  • Horse trails and guided rides are available spring to summer.

  • Mammoth Lakes two golf courses, Sierra Star and Snowcreek Golf Course.

  • Boating, swimming, tubing, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing..with the many beautiful lakes around Mammoth, you can find so many fun activities.

  • 10 new outdoor pickleball courts located near the College and new dog park.

EAT + DRINK + SHOP

  • The Village is about ½ mile from The Alpine Loft and the center of entertainment in Mammoth. The free shuttle and town trolley stop right in front of our building making it easy to get there and back.

  • Here you can find grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, gear rental stores, bars and most anything you need for your stay in Mammoth.

  • You can find food and drinks at Canyon Lodge, Main Lodge, The Mill and McCoy’s. Canyon Lodge has an apres ski party on the weekends during ski season too.

  • About 15 miles from Mammoth, you can find beautiful June Lake with ski fields and restaurants. In the summer take the scenic drive for beautiful views.

  • The restaurant at Convict Lake is one of the best restaurants in Mammoth - definitely worth checking out.

  • Vons is the most popular grocery store in Mammoth, but you can also try Grocery Outlet for deals and the general store in the Village.
